The IAP2 Canada Research Committee has been working with the help of a research analyst to source and compile academic research related to the following topics of interest identified by the membership:
- Conflict Management
- Engaging top level decision-makers in P2
- Social media and Web 2.0
The academic literature, case studies and white papers will be made available to IAP2 Canada members through the refreshed IAP2 Canada website in 2016.
In addition to this, the research committee put a call out to members seeking support in the development of two white papers. The first white paper topic will focus on public participation evaluation. The second topic will draw attention to conflict management.
Each paper will integrate academic research relevant to the topic to help readers understand the subject and, based on academic research, provide tips or points to consider related to the practice of public participation. It is anticipated the papers will be ready for release in early 2016.
