At the end of 2018, the IAP2 Canada took another step on the organization’s reconciliation journey with the approval of an Indigenous Inclusion Action Plan. IAP2 Canada’s strategic plan has now been amended to include a specific objective from now until 2020, to “advance Indigenous inclusion within IAP2 Canada as an organization and within the practice of P2 in Canada.”
The Board of Directors approved specific activities in its 2019 Indigenous Inclusion Action Plan that relate to three main paths for advancing Indigenous Inclusion over the coming years:
- Indigenous Awareness and cultural competency programs for IAP2 Canada leaders;
- Building strategic relationships with Indigenous businesses and organization; and
- Collaborating with like-minded organizations to advance Indigenous inclusion in P2.
